What do you think represents this generation of teens and young adults of 2010 or this decade?

Question by : What do you think represents this generation of teens and young adults of 2010 or this decade?
What I mean is movies, media, songs, book, video game, what best describe people who are in this generation. It could be just one song, a series of movies or books, even a video game like WoW or CoD(Yeah you can complain about my choices of examples) Please add what you also think was the most influential social media too (don’t just add the social media!). Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, even Myspace since it was one of the earliest! Heck add eHarmony if that really did help you! It doesn’t matter if anything is small as long as it is what you think represents life today!

Personally(This is just my opinion and you can make fun of it later) I think the Graphic novel Series “Scott Pilgrim” represents this generation (at least to me). Though it mainly focuses on indie rock it does show different types of music. It also has a lot of references to video games (I am gamer so its kind of cool). Many of the characters are different, the main character is a bass guitar player, his roommate is gay (actually a lot of characters in this series are gay, I guess that shows todays view of homosexuals?), there are Asian and East Indian characters, there are a couple girl drummers, and even a vegan guy. I am pretty sure my reason are kind of random but if your really interested I guess you could pick up a copy of one of the books…

Well sorry about that… Well thanks a lot for putting your input and Happy New Year!

That’s what i’d nominate to best describes us these days. playing games isn’t see so much as a bad thing any more. Games companies have tv and newspapers adverts, more and more connectivity in the virtual world, protests formed using just twitter and blogs, to even the recent wikileaks.
